Rod Stewart is widely recognised as among the best interpretive singers of recent times, and has consistently been a presence in the charts since the early 1970s.

In addition to his solo career, Rod Stewart has released many records which feature either collaborations with other artists or covers of other artists' songs. This includes his 2005 album, Thanks For The Memory...The Great American Songbook IV, which included duets with Diana Ross and Elton John. Within weeks of its release, the CD made it to number 2 on the top 200 list. Rod Stewart's latest album, Still the Same... Great Rock Classics of Our Time, was released in 2006 and features covers of rock classics throughout the years.
