American rap artist, Lloyd Banks, began his music career in Queens, New York City when he formed the rap group G-Unit along with his friends 50 Cent and Tony Yayo. He continues to perform and record with the group even as both he and 50 Cent pursue their solo careers.
Lloyd Banks has published at least three solo albums, including the 2010 release of H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger for More). His hit song "On Fire" was nominated for a Grammy. Also, the collaborative hit titled "Touch It [Remix]" won him and his co-performers a BET award. The song was performed in collaboration with Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Mary J. Blige, Rah Digga, Papoose and DMX. He performs year-round in live shows with G-Unit, as a solo act and collaboratively.
