Taking Back Sunday is an American band from Long Island, New York. Their 2002 album, Tell All Your Friends, gave the band their first taste of success fueled by the single, "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team)."
The group is set to release their fifth studio album, a self-titled record, in June, 2011.

In 2004, Taking Back Sunday saw a successful year with the band opening for Blink-182 and being one of the main headliners for the Vans Warped Tour. In addition, Taking Back Sunday's second album, titled Where You Want To Be, was released in 2004. This album had a different sound to their previous one. Propelled by the single "A Decade Under the Influence", Where You Want to Be went on to debut at the #3 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, with sales of around 163,000 copies.
