Cage the Elephant is an American rock band from Bowling Green, Kentucky. The group formed in 2006, and debuted with a self-titled album in 2008.

The band's second album, Thank You, Happy Birthday, was released in the US and Canada in January, 2011. It was released to high critical acclaim, and charted as #1 on the top ten album downloads on iTunes. The album sold 39,000 copies during its first week in the U.S., and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.
