Augustana is a rock band from San Diego, California. They debuted with the album, Midwest Skies and Sleepless Mondays, in 2003. It was their 2005 album, All the Stars and Boulevards, that gained them national attention. The album charted high on U.S. charts, and produced the group's best known single, "Boston."
The band's most recent release was a self-titled album in April, 2011.

Augustana's contemplative, melodic sound is characterized by numerous piano lines and the breathy vocals of frontman Layus. They have been featured on numerous tours with artists such as Switchfoot, The Fray, Counting Crows, Snow Patrol, The Damnwells, Goo Goo Dolls, Acceptance and Cartel. They are also renowned for their headlining shows which have seen them play to sold out club audiences nationwide.
