Snoop Dogg Tours for Malice in Wonderland

Snoop Dogg

American rapper, Snoop Dogg, got his start alongside Dr. Dre in the 1992 album, The Chronic. His work on the album provided Snoop with instant fame.

In a genre where the front man usually carries a bold voice, Snoop’s soft-spoken melodic style has given him staying power, and over his long career, made him a household name.

Snoop launched his debut album, Doggystyle, in 1993. The record went quadruple platinum featuring songs like “Murder Was the Case” and “Gin and Juice.”

Snoop Dogg is no stranger to controversy. Often entangled in legal issues, Snoop’s image as a hard-knock criminal turned many off, and set the violent content of his music at the center of censorship arguments. “Gangsta Rap” changed the appearance of  mainstream music. Over time, the industry adapted as similar rappers emerged and became popular.

Snoop has produced over a dozen albums in  his near twenty year career. His newest, Malice in Wonderland was released in late 2009.

Snoop Dogg goes on his Malice in Wonderland tour this month. He will play the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on March 7th. For Snoop Dogg tickets, visit ShowTimeTickets.com.
