Katy Perry extends tour

After a disappointing end to her tour in late April, after wildfires in California forced the singer to cancel her closing show in Sant Barbara, Katy Perry has announced she will return for a short second leg of her tour, adding eight dates that will be performed through July to September, the final show being on September 5 at the Bumbershoot Festival.

The singer, best known for her hit “I Kissed a Girl,” is currently about to start a short, four-day tour of Japan beginning on May 25 before heading to Europe for the next leg of her tour.

The opening concert of the extended North American Tour will take place on July 24 in New York, and close on September 5 in Seattle; the postponed show in Santa Barbara has been rescheduled for August 30.
