Canucks 2017-2018 schedule announced – home opener Oct. 7

It’s never too early to think about hockey! After finishing out of playoff contention this past season, the Canucks generated some much-needed buzz with their 5th-overall pick of Swedish centre Elias Pettersson among others at the 2017 entry draft. Pettersson is touted as a much-needed offensive prospect for a team that struggled to put pucks in the net last season.

Prior to the draft, the NHL released its 2017-2018 regular season schedule. The Canucks will begin their season with a home game versus Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, October 7th. The NHL’s newest expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights, will make their regular season debut at Rogers Arena on November 16th.

Other highlight home games include the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins on November 4th, the Toronto Maple Leafs on December 2nd and the Montreal Canadiens on December 19th.
