Brooklyn based indie rock group, The National, are touring North America in support of their fifth record, High Violet. The album was released in May of this year to much praise. Reaching number three on the charts, The National’s newest effort outdid their much loved break out album of 2007, Boxer.
The tour for High Violet began earlier this year, and has taken The National to sold out venues in Canada, the U.S., and U.K.
The group will make a stop in Vancouver this weekend for two nights at Malkin Bowl, before heading south for dates in over fifteen U.S. cities.
The Walkmen will open the shows in Vancouver and Portland.
