Megadeth Rust in Peace Anniversary Tour

Heavy metal fans were left disappointed by the recent cancellation of the much anticipated American Carnage joint tour by Megadeth and Slayer. This is the second cancellation from the co-headliners due to the medical problems of Slayer’s Tom Araya.
In the wake of the let down, American heavy metal thrashers, Megadeth, have announced a spring tour including supporting groups Testament and Exodus. The tour is a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Megadeth’s platinum-selling fourth studio release, Rust in Peace. At the time, this was the band’s most commercially successful effort.
Megadeth has released twelve albums total. Their most recent album, End Game, was releaed in 2009. The album sold 45,000 copies in its first week, and debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 chart. The band has sold nearly twenty-five million albums worldwide, making them one of the most commerically successful heavy metal bands of all time.
Founding member, Dave Mustaine, takes the band on the road beginning March 1 in Spokane, Washington. Megadeth has also rescheduled the American Carnage tour with Slayer with dates planned for late summer.
