"Have to admit that I was a little nervous on the way to the stadium as I have heard Oakland is not the nicest place to go to, and getting off the train and having to walk threw a chain link tunnel to get to the ballpark didn't do anything to change my mind but all that changed when we got in the park. On the outside it looks like a concrete eyesore but once you get inside its a different story. Our tickets were behind home plate and were row 30 so I though we would be pretty high but infact they were alot closer and had a great view. They close off the 300 level so pretty much all the seats give you a great view. I have to say that the fans are alot louder in this ballpark when its half full then some ballparks that are full so it defintaly keep things entertaining."

"I saw the Yankees and A's in Oakland this summer. I had heard so many bad stories about this park, and as a true baseball fan I actually grew to like the place. Yes, the neighborhood is rough, the stadium is old, and you feel like you're entering the slammer. But whe I was tere I was impressed with the loyal A's fans that cheer on their team year after year, the stadium is smaller, especially with the upper deck closed off, and I have to say I had one of the best hot dogs I've ever had in that stadium. If you're ever in the Bay area, hope on BART, and make it over for an A's game."
