AIDS Wolf is an experimental noise punk group from Montreal consisting of members Hiroshima Thunder, Special Deluxe, and Alexander Moskos. Formed in 2003, the band has released a string of albums, many on cassette tape only. Their music is as critically-acclaimed as it is utterly inaccessible, ensuring that AIDS Wolf concerts are attended almost exclusively by lovers of challenging, experimental music.
According to their official site, the band "takes its cues from 'classic' New York No Wave, 90s Midwestern No Wave, vegan cooking, 70s proto-punk, Beefheartian modes, Ville-Marie school of white elephant architecture, Literature, www.crwflags.com, post-war continental modern composition and their unrivaled network of friends and acquaintances the world over." In the real world, that translates to a vast and brilliant catalogue of music which the band expertly recreates in concert.
