After a week of waiting and false alarms, the National Hockey schedule for the 2013-2014 season was finally released today. The new season is set to begin October 1st, 2013 and features six outdoor stadium games on the schedule. The NHL also officially confirmed the participation of its players in the 2014 Sochi Olympics, which leads to a two-week break in the February schedule.
