Days after UFC 149 in Calgary set new gate records, the preliminary fight card was announced today for the UFC 152 event at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on September 22nd, 2012. The main event will feature the first-ever flyweight championship bout between Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson. Accompanying that fight on the main event will be a middleweight match between Michael Bisping and Brian Stann.

Bouts announced for UFC 152 thus far include:
- UFC Flyweight Championship bout: Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson
- Middleweight bout: Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann
- Welterweight bout: BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald
- Lightweight bout: Evan Dunham vs. TJ Grant
- Featherweight bout: Jimy Hettes vs. Marcus Brimage
- Light Heavyweight bout: Igor Pokrajac vs. Vinny Magalhães[187]
- Welterweight bout: Seth Baczynski vs. Simeon Thoresen
*At the press conference announcing UFC 152, Mark Hominick stated that he expects to be included in the Toronto fight card, but he has yet to be officially added by the UFC.
Earlier last week, it was also confirmed that Georges St-Pierre will defend his welterweight belt against Carlos Condit at UFC 154 in Montreal later this year. It will be St-Pierre’s first appearance in the octagon since a knee injury and subsequent surgery forced him out of action. Ticket details for that event are pending.
