Toby Keith Launches American Ride Tour

Toby Keith

American Country music star, Toby Keith, launches a tour of North America at the end of this month in promotion of his thirteenth studio album, American Ride.

Keith has come a long way since his debut single, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” back in 1993. Since then, he has recorded nineteen number one hits, and performed eight different USO tours. He’s kept very busy.

According to Keith, he simply works hard, and enjoys the results of his labor. It is a practice that clearly works for him, having sold more than thirty million albums.

As the writer of nearly all of his recorded music, Keith is very close to its content. Most of his songs are composed while touring. Read More

More shows added as Toby Keith tour gets underway

Having just begun his summer outing, Toby Keith has announced added dates to his tour that he is currently on with fellow country singer Trace Adkins. The added shows will be scattered amongst the previously scheduled performances in the months of June, July, and August — some of which will be Keith by his lonesome — padding the overall itinerary to a total of 35 shows.

As previously mentioned, the tour has already begun, though you can catch Toby Keith and Trace Adkins at their next scheduled date on June 26th in Tampa, FL at the Ford Amphitheater at State Fairgrounds. The tour will continue throughout the summer until the final performance on September 19th in Tinley Park, IL at the First midwest Bank Amphitheatre. The July 18th, August 3rd, 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th shows are planned to be the shows featuring just Toby Keith.

Keith is currently still promoting his 14th studio album which released late last year, titled “That Don’t Make Me a Bad Guy.” Despite being his 14th studio release, the album rose to the top of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making it Keith’s seventh album to achieve that honor. Meanwhile Adkins is promoting his latest album “X” which peaked at No.7 on the same chart shortly after its release in November.
