Pearl Jam to visit Vancouver, Calgary on 24-city North American Tour

Buy Pearl Jam 2013 Tour TicketsPearl Jam is back on tour this fall – the Seattle grunge band announced a 24-date excursion yesterday as fans await their latest upcoming album. Lightning Bolt is Pearl Jam’s 10th studio album and it was announced Thursday that it will be available on October 15 to coincide with the new tour.

The tour begins October 11 in Pittsburgh, PA before traversing west to conclude their dates with a December 6th concert in their hometown of Seattle, WA. The only two Canadian stops on the tour are Vancouver (December 4, Rogers Arena) and Calgary (December 2, Scotiabank Saddledome). Tickets for the new tour go on public onsale on July 27.

After a couple of decades of sold-out arena shows, Pearl Jam have stretched the definition of the term “alternative.” It’s hard to find anyone who doesn’t know who they are, and of those people, it’s harder still to find someone who doesn’t enjoy hits like “Even Flow.”
