giguereFinally, the Toronto Maple Leafs 8 game loosing streak has come to a close! They were able to pull off a 5 to 4 win over the Nashville Predators last night with exceptional second period play.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are going into tonight’s game against the Florida Panthers with a lot of speculation surrounding them: can they break their 6 game loosing streak? For a team who started the season with a 9-4 record not many cities other than Toronto would have expected it to deteriorate so fast. In a city that would kill to finally have a winning season, the Maple Leafs started off with high hopes. Dion Phaneuf and other newly acquired players like Kris Versteeg and Giguere as well as young ones with a lot of hype surrounding them such as Nazem Kadri brought Brian Burke’s play-off promises back to mind.
