Chickenfoot set for North American tour

Chickenfoot, the rock supergroup comprised of ex-Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Joe Satriani, have announced a North American tour following the success of their debut album, which has sold over a quarter-million copies in its first month on shelves.

The tour is currently slated for thrity shows, the first two of which will be the only Canadian stops on the itinerary, playing in Halifax Nova Scotia on August 2nd to kick off the tour, followed by an August 4th concert in Toronto, Ontario. Tickets for all but two shows are already available; however, the Denver and San Antonio concert tickets will go on sale on the 18th and 24th of this month, respectively.

Chickenfoot’s self-titled debut album was released to immediate success, hitting no.4 on the Billboard 200 chart for its first two weeks. Since then, the album has taken place at the no.21 spot on the Billboard 200, and maintains the no.2 spot on Billboard’s Indie Albums chart.
