Major League Baseball is winding down with less than a week left of regular season play.
It was an exciting night for the American League Tuesday, as the Yankees and Rays secured spots in the upcoming playoffs.
The Yankees are celebrating after a 6-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays last night. With the exception of 2008, the NY Yankees have made it into the playoffs every year since 1995.
The Tampa Bay Rays will also compete after their win against the Baltimore Orioles. One of these two teams will represent the American League East, while the other will be the wild card.
The Cincinatti Reds are also celebrating, after the home run win in the ninth inning against the Astros on Tuesday. That puts the Reds at the top the National League Central, and marks the first playoff appearance for the Reds in fifteen years.
