Six must-see March 2016 Vancouver events

1.) Vancouver Canucks
If the team has any hope of getting back into the playoff race, it will start with improving their play on home ice. The month of March will present every opportunity for the team to do just that, with no less than nine home games on the calendar. Many of those games are against Western opponents sitting above them in the standings, so there isn’t a more important time for the Canucks to start stringing wins together.
Whether you’re a casual or diehard fan, there’s never been a better time to get great deals on Canucks tickets. ShowTimeTickets.com has tickets starting from just $39 (below box office) for many games all the way to the end of the season.
2.) Justin Bieber
Since a string of legal and public mischief incidents landed him in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent years, Justin Bieber is back on top of the charts with his latest Purpose album. His hit singles “What Do Your Mean?”, “Sorry” and “Love Yourself” are set to hit the stage at Rogers Arena on March 11th.
3.) Canada Sevens Rugby
For the first time ever, the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series is making a stop in Canada! Vancouver’s BC Place will host the much-anticipated Canada Sevens tournament on March 12th & 13th. Fans have been snapping up tickets to the event, with organizers tweeting that the event is 95% sold out. This is an event that sports fans will want to mark on their spring calendars!
World Cup Qualifying
After soccer fever swept up Vancouver for the 2014 FIFA Women’s World Cup, fans will get another chance to cheer on the red and white as the Canadian Men’s National Team takes on Mexico in World Cup Qualifying.
4.) Vancouver Whitecaps
2015 was the most successful season to date for the Whitecaps, which ended with a loss in the Conference Semifinals and being crowned the Amway Canadian Champions. Following the team’s on-field success, excitement for the upcoming season has never been higher. The Caps kick off their 2016 season at home on March 6th against the Montreal Impact.
Alessia Cara
You might know her best by her hit single “Here”, which has found regular airplay on local radio stations.

Familiar with the term “March Madness”? It’s not just the name given to the NCAA’s renowned college basketball championships – you can use that term to describe the event calendar for Vancouver this month. With spring on the way, headline concerts are kicking off to complement marquee sports events in the city.
