Schedule for Round 1 of 2013 NHL Playoffs Set

Late Sunday night, the National Hockey League released the game and broadcast schedule for the conference quarterfinal round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The puck drops on Tuesday, April 30th as matchups begin between Chicago/Minnesota, Anaheim/Detroit and St. Louis/Los Angeles.

As for the four Canadian teams in action, the Vancouver Canucks (3rd) kick things off at home on Wednesday as they host the San Jose Sharks (6th). Despite a trend of dominance in years past, the Sharks have had the edge in head-to-head play in this abbreviated season, winning all three regular season games (2 in regulation, one in a shootout). Both teams will have a lot to prove going into the playoffs.

Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks Playoff Tickets now on sale

It’s the time of year that hockey fans wait for. And for playoff-starved Toronto Maple Leafs fans, they’ve been waiting longer than most.

That wait is finally over.

Playoff tickets for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks went on sale today. For Canucks fans, the playoffs have become something they’ve grown accustomed to, having won five straight Northwest Division titles and back-to-back President’s Trophies in 2011 and 2012.
However, this marks the first time that Leafs Nation has entered the postseason since the 2004-2005 lockout (yes, the LAST lockout before this year’s). Needless to say, Leafs fans are excited. So excited, that is, that the CN Tower will glow blue during playoff games and fans have created a petition to turn it into a giant red goal light. These are jubilant times in Leaf Land to say the least.

In attendance were local hotel concierges, representatives from tourism industry businesses, and ShowTime’s own Jon and Candace.
As a leading ticket broker in Canada, ShowTime Tickets was proud to promote our affiliate and concierge partnership programs to local businesses and hotel reps. We also encouraged visitors to our booth to sign up for our hotel and affiliate newsletter lists to stay in the loop for the latest offers and ticketed events coming to Vancouver.
All in all, it was a very successful day for us, with plenty of new connections made and previous relationships were rekindled. Now to sort through the dozens and dozens of business cards we exchanged!
