Swift’s Speak Now Kicks Off This Week

Country superstar, Taylor Swift, will launch her Speak Now Tour tomorrow in Singapore. After a string of Asian dates, Swift will take to Europe for shows all over the U.K. through March.

The highly anticipated North American leg of the tour will kick off with two nights at Staples Center in Los Angeles on April 23rd and 24th. Over forty shows are scheduled in the U.S. and Canada in 2011.

Thousands will gather to see the Calgary Flames take on the Montreal Canadiens at McMahon Stadium in Calgary on February 20th. A lot could change between now and then as far as records are concerned. For now, the Flames and Canadiens are going into the Heritage Classic with records that qualify them for the playoffs.

Pixies Bring Doolittle Tour to Canada

The legendary Pixies will bring the Doolittle World Tour, which began in the fall of 2009, to Canada this spring. The tour kicks off in Halifax on April 9th, and closes out in Victoria on May 5th. The band will play two nights in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.

The group will be playing the 1989 album, Doolittle, in its entirety. What began as an anniversary tour is now in its second year. The Pixies have performed over fifty dates in the U.S. and Europe since 2009. Read More

Bon Jovi Extends Live 2011 Tour

Long-time rockers, Bon Jovi, have just added a dozen dates to their Live 2011 Tour, which kicks off next week in University Park, Pennsylvania.

The group added shows in Ottawa and Montreal, as well as ten U.S. cities. They are set to perform across North America and Europe in support of their November release, Greatest Hits. Opening acts will include Billy Falcon, Lorenza Ponce, Soraia, and Norman Nardini for U.S. east coast dates only. Read More

Lil’ Wayne: I Am Music II

Last week, popular rapper, Lil’ Wayne, announced the dates for his spring North American tour, I Am Music II. The tour kicks off in Buffalo, N.Y. on March 18th, and wraps up in East Rutherford, N.J. on May 1st. Two Canadian cities, Edmonton and Vancouver, are scheduled in April.

A sequel to Lil’ Wayne’s 2008-2009 outing, the I Am Music II tour will support Tha Carter IV, an album to be released in April, 2011. Opening acts will include Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Mix Master Mike with Travis Barker. Read More
