The week began with big news from the NFL as the league released the 2010 regular season schedule.
One of the most exciting announcements is that the season will kick off with current Super Bowl champs, the New Orleans Saints, taking on last year’s NFC rival, the Minnesota Vikings, for the opening game. In what was one of the most memorable match-ups of last season, the highly anticipated rematch will get the season under way with a bang.
Yesterday marked another big day in football, as the first of the three-day NFL draft. The buzz surrounding the initial draft picks goes to the Sooners with three of the first four picks coming from the University of Oklahoma. The St. Louis Rams scored the number one pick, choosing Sam Bradford, 2008 Heisman winner and quarterback for the University of Oklahoma.
The 2010 draft is being broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York. An event filled with this much nail-biting drama deserves its place on center stage.

Carrie Underwood made Country music history on Sunday, as she became the only female ever to twice receive the Academy of Country Music’s “Entertainer of the Year” award.
No one deserves this award more than Underwood, who just added even more dates to her already extended Play On Tour. Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary have all made it onto the new schedule, as she continues to tour the U.S. and Canada through December.
