Paula Poundstone is an American stand-up comedian. In 1989, she won the American Comedy Award for "Best Female Stand-Up Comic." In 1990, she wrote and starred in the HBO special "Cats, Cops and Stuff," and subsequently won a CableACE Award for the show.
Poundstone worked as a presidential campaign political correspondent for the Tonight Show in 1992 and for The Rosie O'Donnell Show in 1996. She also served as a panelist on the 2000 revival of the television game show To Tell the Truth. She is listed among Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand-ups of all time.
