Girls Aloud is an all-girl pop group that began performing together in London during 2002. Their debut album, Sound of the Underground, was released in 2003 and subsequently peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums chart. It was certified Platinum in the UK as well and included the hit album's title track and "Life Got Cold." They have released no less than five studio albums, including What Will the Neighbours Say? and Out of Control. The Girls have performed with several music greats across a variety of genres, including Jay-Z and Coldplay.
Girls Aloud is made up of a mix of English and Irish natives: Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.
