Born in 1956, the American singer and stage actress is best-known for her 1977 hit, "You Light Up My Life," which spent ten weeks at #1 and won her a Grammy for Best New Artist. In the late '70s, her country hit, "Are You On The Road to Lovin' Me Again," went #1 as well. She spent the '80s in the Christian genre, released top ten albums and won two more Grammys.
Boone has appeared in several musical theater productions and co-authors children's books. Her career was revived in '05 with the release of "Revelations of Rosemary," a CD tribute to her mother-in-law, Rosemary Clooney. A big band album was released in 2011.
