Nicki Minaj is a hip-hop artist who was born in Trinidad, but raised in Queens, New York. She debuted in 2009 with the album, Pink Friday which featured the hit single "Super Bass". The album hit the top of the charts, and quickly became certified platinum. She followed up her success with her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded which contained hits "Starships" and "Pound the Alarm".
