Born LaRon Louis James in 1982, the American rapper of African and Dominican heritage is also a producer and actor. He released his debut album, "From Me to U" with Def Jam Records. His next effort, "What The Game's Been Missing," had a top ten single, "There It Go (The Whistle Song)," which went gold soon afterward.
Santana has been preparing a third album since '07, "Born To Lose, Built To Win," and its single, "Mixin' Up The Medecine" has been released. He is working with a new album with the Diplomats as well, and recently collaborated with rappers Griggs & Wiley on "Bright Lights."
