Born in 1970 as Andre L. Adams, the American rapper from San Francisco once performed as Dre Dog. Originally a science student, he dropped out and released two albums with that name, "The New Jim Jones" ('93) and "I Hate You With a Passion" ('95).
Changing his hame to Andre Nickatina, he released "Cocaine Rap," and "Raven in My Eyes" in '07 on his own label, Filmoe Coleman Records. The next three, "Tears of a Clown," "Daiquiri Factory: Cocaine Raps 2" and "These R Tales" raised his profile in the west. In '08, he released "A Tale of Two Andres" with Mac Dre. Despite their close friendship, they only collaborated on two songs
