The Full Monty musical is Terrence McNally's Broadway adaptation of the 1997 British film with the same name. The musical score was written by David Yazbeck, who is also known for his work on other Broadway musicals such as Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. The story unfolds as six, unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo hatch a plan to perform a striptease act that will eclipse the success of the Chippendales dancers because they will go "full monty," which means completely naked. As they prepare for the feat, the characters develop a unique friendship bound by their battles with anxiety and self-consciousness.
