Back with their unique rock, funk and soul sound, The Family Stone is shaking the house. Originally formed in San Francisco, California during the late 1960s, the group has a long history of music hits that have greatly influenced the genres of hip-hop and R&B. During the 60s, 70s and 80s, Sly and the Family Stone released twelve albums, including their greatest hits compilation. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. Other achievements the band has made include receiving the R&B Foundation Pioneer Award and being included in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
The Family Stone continue to perform their iconic hit songs such as "I Want to Take You Higher," "Everybody is a Star," "Stand!" and "Life." They group performs both with and without their original front man, Sly Stone. In addition to their timeless classics, the group has been writing and performing new songs as they tour internationally.
