Also known as Sixpence, the American rock band from New Braunfels, Texas has been re-based in Nashville. Its best-known songs are "Kiss Me" and "Breathe Your Name." The name is inspired by "Mere Christianity" of C.S. Lewis. In '97, they signed with Squint Entertainment and released a self-titled album with little success.
The cover of La's "There She Goes" and a hit single donated to Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance, "Us" were more successful. They have appeared on Letterman, Leno and all the morning talk shows. Breaking up in '04, they reunited in '07 for the EP release of "Dear Machine" and the Christmas album, "The Dawn of Grace." A new album, "Strange Conversation" was begun in 2010.
