Victor Santiago, Jr, African-American rapper of Puerto Rican descent, goes by the moniker, N.O.R.E., or Noreaga. He gained notoriety with that name in '96 working with a partner named Capone. The two had met in prison.
They released a debut album through Penalty Records, "The War Report," after which Capone returned to prison. N.O.R.E.'s self-titled solo debut album was more successful than the duo had ever been. Capone returned in 2000 for the unsuccessful album, "The Reunion" in '09. At that point, N.O.R.E. began to introduce Spanish Songs and released two more albums himself.
