A garage punk band from Seattle formed in 1996, Murder City Devils released two singles in their first year, "Three Natural Sixes" and "Dance Hall Music." Signing with the Die Young, Stay Pretty label, their self-titled debut album came out in '97. The second album in '98, "Empty Bottles, Broken Hearts" featured increased use of electric organ.
"In Name and Blood" came out in 2000, and their '01 Halloween concert, "R.I.P." was released by Sub Pop in '93. The band played a Seattle show in '07 with the original members, appeared in the "Fun Fun Fun Festival" of Austin, Texas, and toured the west coast in '09.
