The electronic band Kraftwerk first appeared in 1970 out of Germany. They have since released ten albums, one live album, one compilation, and twenty-four singles. In 1977, their sixth album, Trans-Europe Express, won a Disco Award in New York.
In 2003, the group released the album, Tour de France Soundtracks, their first since 1986. The following year, the band launched the Minimum-Maximum global tour, which became the basis of their first live album released in 2005.
