Kings of Leon Information Continued

Kings of Leon got their start in 2003 with their album Youth and Young Manhood and rose to relative stardom, especially outside the United States, by being chosen by popular rock bands The Strokes and U2 to tour with them. Standout tracks included the lively "Molly's Chambers" - a title taken from a line in Thin Lizzy's "Whiskey In The Jar" - and soulful "California Waiting". The song "Red Morning Light" was used as the opening song for the videogame FIFA 2004. "Holy Roller Novocaine" was used in the movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

The second album from Kings of Leon, Aha Shake Heartbreak, was released in the United Kingdom in October 2004 to widespread acclaim. The album was praised for its mix of garage rock and Southern swagger. "The Bucket", "Four Kicks" and "King of the Rodeo" have been released as singles thus far. Aha Shake Heartbreak was released in February 2005 in the United States.

The latest album from Kings of Leon is the June 2006 release, Day Old Belgian Blues. In 2006, the band played many concert dates including opening for Bob Dylan.

Was really wowed by them!

Kyle from said...

"I wasn't much of a fan of Kings of Leon, but Sex on Fire sort of turned that around and I got interested in them, then saw them live. They put on a great show and I would totally see them again! Even though it's not the same performance I saw, check out this live video of them to get an idea of how great their shows are! "

Bottom line: Kyle would recommend this event to their best friend

"Kings of Leon last night were awesome, and the crowd was really into it. They sort of came out of nowhere, 'cause I hadn't heard of them until recently, but it was really cool. The opening band was alright, but didn't get the crowd as pumped for KOL as they should have."
