A German Eurodance trio (a genre of electronic dance music with origins in the late '80s) formed in late 2004, Cascada is a leading symbol of the genre, including the hit singles, "Every Time We Touch," "What Hurts the Most" and "Evacuate The Dancefloor." They have sold over twenty million copies with fifteen million digital downloads.
The debut album was the most successful, going platinum in the U.S. The second album, "Perfect Day" was criticized for lack of unity, so they began the habit of preparing singles in groups for later release. In 2010, "Pyromania," "Night Nurse" and "Emmy" were released. "Original Me" was not released in the U.S. due to poor sales.
