Born in 1945, Carly Simon is an American singer, songwriter and children's author, famous in the '70s for a long string of hits. She has won two Grammys, an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. Of her thirteen top ten hits, "You're So Vain," "Mockingbird" and "Anticipation" are the most well-known. Simon was married to James Taylor, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in '94.
In 2000, she released "The Bedroom Tapes," her first album in six years. She performed on "Son of a Gun" in '01 with Janet Jackson, and released a Christmas album for Rhino Records in '02. Writing songs for Disney projects, she released "Moonlight Serenade" in '05. She has appeared in several movies, and performed in 2010 for UK radio.
