A Hawk And A Hacksaw Tickets

A Hawk and a Hacksaw is an American indie folk band from former Neutral Milk Hotel drummer Jeremy Barnes and violinist Heather Trost which draws from a wide array of musical traditions, including klezmer, mariachi, and Turkish music. In 2005, the duo was asked by Zach Condon of Beirut to contribute to his album Gulag Orkestar. Since then, their albums have been consistently well-received by music critics, including notorious tastemaker Pitchfork Media.

The band's latest release, 2011's Cervantine, sees them delving further into world music, mixing Eastern European folk music with the Central and South American rhythms becoming increasingly popular in the duo's home of New Mexico. A Hawk and a Hacksaw recently completed a West Coast US tour.
