Born in London in '65, Richard Walters is an English rapper. Early on, he moved his Jamaican family to The Bronx, and formed a hip hop group, Kangol Crew. His trademark eye patch stems from a childhood accident with broken glass.
Walters spent five years in prison for a shooting, and his third album, "Behind Bars," was released during his incarceration. His solo debut, "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick" was a #1. The fourth album, "The Art of Storytelling" served as a good comeback album, and his three songs, "La Di Da Di," "Mona Lisa" and "Childrens Story" are well known. Walters was pardoned by NY Governor Paterson in '08.
