Born Jullyann Inderia Gordon in 1977, Jully Black is a Canadian R&B singer/songwriter of Jamaican heritage who has written for many artists, such as Destiny's Child and Sean Paul. '98 hits included "Rally 'n" and singles "You Changed" and "Between Me and U." The '03 debut album was shelved, but the '05 "This Is Me" was released by Universal Music Canada. She barely sold 15,000 copies, but over a million requests for illegal swapping were made.

Her '07 single, "Seven Day Fool," hit the top ten in Canada. Her second album, "Revival," won the Juno Award for R&B/Soul Recording. She is a correspondent on the sixth season of Canadian Idol, and has hosted the Canadian Radio Music Awards.
